Highlights

What you came for.

  • Close views of Machhapuchhre
  • Mardi Himal viewpoint near 4,500 m
  • Quiet ridge-top walking
  • Rhododendron and moss forest

Overview

A short ridge trek close to Pokhara, climbing above the clouds to a viewpoint right beneath the Fishtail peak.

This newer route climbs a narrow ridge through forest to open alpine country, with close views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

The base camp viewpoint at about 4,500 m is a big reward for a short trip. Lodges are small and fill up quickly in season, and the top section is exposed in bad weather.

An Annapurna Conservation Area permit is required.
