Altitude
1,400 m

Highlights

What you came for.

  • Everest views from Tengboche
  • Namche Bazaar market town
  • Khumjung village and school
  • Stays below 4,000 m

Overview

A shorter, lower trek for Everest views, Sherpa villages and Tengboche Monastery, without going to extreme altitude.

This is a good choice if you want to see Everest and Sherpa life but have limited time or would rather avoid high altitude. The route stays below 4,000 m.

Highlights are Namche Bazaar, Khumjung village and Tengboche Monastery, with views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. Clear winter days make it a good off-season option too.

Everest-region permits apply, and Lukla flights can be delayed by weather.
